Our Donations

We know that promises about "a portion of your purchase going to charity" are often vague. An unspecified percentage, of an unspecified amount, to a cause you have to dig around to find. We've tried to do this differently: concrete, trackable, and open for anyone to check.

Where the money goes

$10 from every purchase is donated to Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, the leading national breast cancer organisation in Aotearoa.

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ funds ground-breaking research, promotes breast health education and the importance of regular screening, and provides free support services for breast cancer patients and their whānau. They are a registered New Zealand charity committed to achieving zero deaths from breast cancer.

KohaPink NZ is not an official partner of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ unless otherwise confirmed and agreed. Our contribution is a donation, not a partnership or an endorsement of our products by the foundation.

We use Breast Cancer Foundation NZ's public fundraising platform so you can see exactly how much has been raised, at any time, without having to take our word for it.

Frequently asked questions

Why a fixed dollar amount and not a percentage?

Because a percentage of "sales" or "profit" is hard to verify from the outside. A fixed amount per purchase is something you can work out yourself and something we can show you openly, not just claim.

Can I donate directly to Breast Cancer Foundation NZ as well?

Yes. You can find their donation page at bcf.org.nz.

Is KohaPink NZ a charity?

No. KohaPink NZ is a New Zealand brand. The donation is a voluntary contribution we've chosen to build into everything we do. It is not a claim that your purchase is itself a charitable act.
