About Us

About Us — KohaPink

The name brings together two things we believe in: Koha, the act of giving, of contributing something meaningful to someone else. And Pink, the colour that connects a global community standing alongside those facing breast cancer.

That's what we're trying to create: something generous and something warm, wrapped into one small gesture.

Why we exist

We started KohaPink with one quiet, human problem in mind:

What do you do when someone you love gets news no one is ever ready for, and you can't find the right words?

Most of us have been there. You want to show you care, but you're scared of saying something clumsy, something that sounds hollow, or something that makes it worse. So you wait. And sometimes you wait too long.

KohaPink makes small, thoughtful items that can say what you can't always say yourself. Without drama, without pressure, and without turning the person receiving it into "a patient" instead of who they already are.

What we believe

Everything we do is built around a few simple convictions:

You don't need perfect words to show someone you care. A small, thoughtful reminder can offer support without putting pressure on anyone to be strong, positive, or brave. Something you can carry with you often feels more lasting and personal than a gesture that fades after a few days. And anything we make has to be worthy of giving to someone in the middle of something hard. It should feel considered, not careless.

How we work

We're a small New Zealand brand. We keep things understated because we'd rather let the gesture speak for itself. No big claims where quiet sincerity does the job better.

Quality matters to us. Something meant to remind a friend, a sister, or a colleague that she's not alone can't feel like an afterthought. So we care about the details, right down to what arrives at her door.

We give back

$10 from every purchase is donated to breast cancer research. We believe charitable promises should be proven, not just printed, so we'll always be transparent about what's been raised and where it goes.

In short

We don't make grand gestures. We make small, honest reminders that someone is thinking of you. Made to be carried, not tucked away in a drawer.
